Applications of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is described as an ideal intelligent system that perceives its environment and takes action that maximizes its probability of success for some reason. It is a computer-demonstrated intelligence, as opposed to the natural intellect of humans. Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to technology that is capable of executing operations that require a certain amount of intellectual ability –that is, a machine capable of achieving what a human being would do - in other words, a tool trained to do what a human can do. It is useful in many different corporate roles where it can help to reduce the load on employees at the workplace. Rapid business changes need a quick response.

Artificial Intelligence has been a dream for decades, and the writers of science fiction have visualized the development of sophisticated robots that could carry out human activities or even succeed in other fields. Artificial Intelligence is coloring the dream images in the era of digitization and is proved to be the backbone of technical supremacy. It's a potential paradigm turn that changes our life at home as well as at work. Artificial Intelligence acts as a smart assistant to the populace in a variety of ways, such as Amazon's Alexa, performing various functions such as providing information, controlling lights, locking and unlocking smart homes, etc.

Applications of Artificial Intelligence

  • Artificial intelligence in e-commerce : AI is giving a competitive advantage to various e-commerce companies by helping the Shoppers to discover associated products according to their needs. The virtual capabilities of AI are improving day by day and are expected to grow more in the future.
  • Human Resource Management : Artificial intelligence has penetrated the overall structure of the enterprise and one of the fields is the Human Resources Division, which uses the AI human system to replace person and other roles in the Human Resources Department, such as applicant selection, recruiting, coordination of human resource operations and success improvement, etc. Humans and intelligent algorithms work together to generate an ever-increasing volume of HR data in the cloud, and the application of artificial intelligence analyzes gives a deeper perspective into how to function and run.
  • Artificial Intelligence in HealthCare : AI has started working in the field of Healthcare and expected to grow more in the next 5-10 years. Various mobile apps have been launched to enhance the medical facilities and to improve clinical decision and also to support during critical medical events. It would help in documenting and gathering data electronically with less human contact as it is more important after the pandemic COVID-19.
  • Artificial intelligence in Logistics and Supply chain: The Indian logistics sector is currently valued at $160 Bn, the sector is expected to become worth $215 Bn in the next two years. The cohesion is lacking in Indian logistical growth. as the unorganized players still eat up a large segment of the customer base, setting a lower benchmark for operations while influencing pricing as well. Various companies like Amazon develop their own cutting-edge logistical fleet, equipped with drones and RFID/sensor-based technologies that optimize the entire process. Such a trend enhances competition for the dedicated logistics players, and only those which are able to incorporate digitized processes driven by Artificial Intelligence will be able to thrive through this onslaught.
